Terms of service
Last updated 12 October 2026
The short version. Quidjob is software for running your business: quotes, invoices, payments, bookings, certificates and messages to your customers.
You own your data and your customer relationships. You pay monthly or yearly, can cancel any time, and can export everything when you go. Quidjob never holds your money.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you, the business using Quidjob (“you”), and Quidjob (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. Quidjob is for business use, so consumer protection law for individuals buying for themselves does not apply. You must be 18 or over and able to act for your business.
2. Your account
Keep access to your email and devices secure, since sign-in codes go there. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anyone you add to your team. Tell us straight away at hello@quidjob.co.uk if you think someone else has got in.
3. Plans, trials and billing
- Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe, in pounds sterling.
- On an iPhone, iPad or Android device you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms cover billing, renewal and refunds. On the web you pay by card through Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. A change applies from your next renewal after that notice.
4. Payments from your customers
Quidjob is not a bank or payment institution and never holds your customers’ money. Customers pay by bank transfer to the account you give us or, where available, through a regulated open banking provider straight to your account. You are responsible for checking payments have reached your bank before you rely on them, and for refunds and disputes with your customers.
5. Messages you send
Quidjob sends quotes, invoices, reminders and other messages to your customers by email, text and WhatsApp on your behalf. You must have a proper reason to contact each customer, keep their details accurate, and follow the law on marketing messages. Do not use Quidjob for spam, unlawful, misleading or abusive content. Delivery depends on networks and providers outside our control, so check that anything important has arrived.
6. Your content and data
You own everything you put into Quidjob. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can provide the service to you. You can export your data from Settings at any time, including after you cancel, until your account is deleted.
7. Data processing terms
For your customers’ personal data, you are the controller and we are your processor under UK GDPR. We will:
- process it only on your documented instructions, which are these terms and how you use the app;
- make sure our staff and suppliers are bound by confidentiality;
- keep it secure with appropriate technical and organisational measures;
- use only the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, under contracts with the same protections, and tell you before adding new ones;
- help you answer requests from people exercising their rights, and with security and data protection impact assessments;
- tell you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your data;
- delete or return the data when you close your account, unless the law requires us to keep it; and
- give you the information needed to show we meet these obligations.
You confirm you have a lawful basis for the customer data you add and that you have told your customers how you use it.
8. Certificates, tax and advice
Quidjob helps you record gas safety, electrical and service certificates and prepare tax figures, but you remain responsible for the work, the inspections and what you certify or submit. Figures such as tax estimates are a guide, not financial or tax advice. Check anything important with a qualified accountant.
9. AI features
Where AI help is on, Quidjob can draft messages and quote lines for you. Drafts can be wrong, so read them before you send. You can switch AI help off in Settings.
10. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break in, overload or reverse engineer it, no reselling it, and no using it to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights. We may suspend accounts that do, and will tell you why where we can.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep Quidjob running and your data safe, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve or change features. If we remove something you rely on in a way that matters, we will give you reasonable notice.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for indirect losses, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
13. Ending the agreement
You can cancel and close your account at any time from the app. We may end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms. When your account closes, we delete your data as described in our privacy policy.
14. General
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect; carrying on using Quidjob after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
