The short version. Quidjob helps UK trades and small businesses quote, invoice, get paid and keep in touch with their customers.

We keep personal data in the UK, use it to run the service and never sell it. Your customers’ data is never used for advertising. Analytics and marketing cookies on our website and web app are optional and only used if you agree. You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, at any time.

Who we are

Quidjob (“we”, “us”) runs the Quidjob app and the customer pages at app.quidjob.co.uk. For questions about this policy or your data, email hello@quidjob.co.uk.

Two kinds of data, two roles

Your account. When you sign up and use Quidjob as a business, we decide how your account details are used, so we are the controller of that data under UK GDPR.

Your customers. The customer names, numbers, addresses, jobs, quotes, invoices, certificates and messages you keep in Quidjob belong to your business. You are the controller of that data and we are your processor: we handle it only on your instructions, to provide the service. The data processing terms in our terms of service apply.

If you are a customer of a business that uses Quidjob and want to see, correct or delete what they hold about you, please contact that business first. We will help them answer you.

We do not sell personal data, and we never use your customers’ data for advertising. We only share data with advertising partners (Google and Meta) when a visitor to our website or web app has agreed to marketing cookies. We do not make decisions about anyone that have legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.

Where your data is kept

Our database runs in London. Files such as PDFs, photos and receipts are stored with Cloudflare. Where a supplier handles data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to protect it.

Who we share it with

We use carefully chosen suppliers (sub-processors) to run Quidjob. Each handles data only to provide its part of the service, under a written contract:

We also share data when you ask us to, for example with HMRC for Making Tax Digital, your accounting software, or Google when you connect your Business Profile. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. If you close your account, we delete it within 90 days, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices and tax records, generally six years) and backups, which roll off within 35 days.

Keeping it safe

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-in uses one-time codes, access is limited to the people who need it, and customer pages use random links you can revoke.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your personal data, and object to how we use it. You can export your data from Settings at any time. To make a request, email hello@quidjob.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

Our cookie policy lists every cookie and similar technology we use on the website, the web app and the pages your customers open, why, and for how long, and explains how to change your choice. Strictly necessary ones keep Quidjob working; analytics and marketing cookies are only used with your consent, and never on your customers’ pages.

Children

Quidjob is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
